Itinerary for the trip
Day 01: Kolkata- Port Blair
Today you will be boarding your flight to Port Blair & on arrival check in the hotel for overnight stay. In the evening you will visit Cellular jail located in Port Blair, is a mute witness to the tortures meted out to the freedom fighters, who were incarcerated in this jail. The Cellular jail, completed in the year 1906 acquired the name "CELLULAR" because it is entirely made up on individual cells for the solitary confinement of the prisoners. The jail, now a place of pilgrimage for all freedom loving people has declared as a National Memorial. The saga of the heroic freedom struggle is brought alive in a moving Sound & Light show. The show is conducted every evening in the premises of cellular jail which gives us a brief idea about the happenings in the jail prior to the independence
Day 02: Port Blair
In the morning after breakfast, you will be leaving for Havelock Island, by Maccruz Luxury Catamaran. Havelock Island is 57 kms from Blair and reachable by Maccruz luxury Catamaran in 90 minutes. The island is well known for its two world famous beaches namely Beach No. 5 and 7. These beaches have received A+ rating from the World Tourism Organization (WTO). Hence, Havelock Island is an ideal destination for a relaxing beach holiday as well as a paradise for scuba diving and snorkeling. Trip to Radha Nagar Beach. Overnight stay at Havelock.
Day 03: Port Blair
Morning at Leisure to indulge in a trip to Elephant Beach by country. Boat for Snorkeling etc. also visit was the seat of the British Administration. Important ruins include a church, swimming pool and a Chief Commissioner's residence. A small museum of Indian Navy, SAMUDRIKA, has a good collection of old records. Evening return to Port Blair.
Day 04: Port Blair
Today early morning before breakfast, you will leave for Corbyns cove beach is situated seven kms from Port Blair. This coconut- palm fringed beach, is ideal for swimming, surfing and sun- basking. This is the only beach within the city a very short distance; one can enjoy the distant ross island, cool sea breeze and kaleidoscopic view of blue waters. The complex has restaurant and bar. After breakfast visit Ross Inland & post lunch we will do the local sightseeing. Chatham Saw Mill (one of the oldest and largest in Asia), Mini Zoo, Anthropological Museum, Fisheries Museum, Science Centre, Naval Marine Museum and Cottage Industries Emporium
Day 05:
Today after breakfast, you will be leaving for Jolly Buoy you will get to see corals (red, blue, sponge corals etc). In addition, you will be able to see life within these corals (particularly zebra fish). There is another island called Red Skin Island. Both Jolly Buoy and Red Skin remains open for tourists for 6 months alternately & while returning you can stop at beautiful Wandoor beach for sunset, which is situated at Mahatma Gandhi marine national park around 30kms from Port Blair.
Day 06:
This morning you will be catching your flight for Kolkata. Than from there you will take your flight to reach your home destination.
