Day
1 : Arrive in Kathmandu.
Here you will stay for 2 nights The afternoon will be at leisure and you
may wish to explore the capital on your own.
Day 2 : In Kathmandu.
Today you will visit the 2000-year-old Swayambhunath and the Machendranath
Temple. Then continue to Durbar Square where you will visit the temple of
the living Goddess Kumari. She blesses her devotees from the Kasthamandap; a
pagoda built using the timber from a single tree and the origin of Kathmandus
name. The afternoon is free.
Day 3 : Kathmandu - Pokhara
This morning you will be driven to Pokhara.A rare combination of snow-clad
peaks and snow-fed lakes and rivers has helped to create the valley of
Pokhara,one of the most picturesque attractions in the kingdom. The rest of
the day is at leisure.
Day 4 : In Pokhara.
This Morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Pokhara Valley visiting the
city, new market, Tibetan Camp, Gupteshowor cave & boat ride, Seti
gorge, Devi Fall. The afternoon is free.
Day 5 : Pokhara. Kathmandu.
Spend a leisurely morning before your return journey to Kathmandu. On
arrival you will be booked for an overnight stay.
Day 6 : Depart Kathmandu.
Very early this morning you may wish to take an ptional tour to the 17th
century town of Nagarkot that captures the glory of the Himalayas at
sunrise. Then return to Kathmandu after breakfast. Later today you will
depart Kathmandu.
Chitwan Extension
8 Days/7 Nights : Chitwan National Park
A 932 square kilometer area, of tall grassland and magnificent forest is
one of Asias richest and most spectacular wildlife sanctuaries, home
to the Royal Bengal Tiger and the one- horned rhino.
Day 5 : Pokhara to Chitwan.
Today you will be driven to Chitwan where you will be booked to stay for
two nights.
Day 6 : In Chitwan.
Chitwan is home to the great one horned rhinoceros and the elusive Royal
Bengal Tiger amongst several other wildlife. At dawn and again at dusk you
will be taken for game viewing on elephant-back. During the day you may also
wish go for nature walks, jungle treks, bird watching and elephant camp
visits.
Day 7 : Chitwan to Kathmandu.
Enjoy the scenic drive back to Kathmandu where you will be booked for an
overnight stay.
Day 8 : Depart Kathmandu.
Very early this morning you may wish to take an optional tour to the 17th
century town of Nagarkot that captures the glory of the Himalayas at
sunrise. Then return to Kathmandu after breakfast. Latter today you will
depart Kathmandu.
